I still don't get why BTC Karens think because Mark is accepting Doge that he is trying to destroy BTC or something like that... I mean, it's like a bunch of kids angry because you choose to play as Woody, not as Buzz Lightyear

It's because you're investing in an infinite supply currency, which is a distraction from BTC. In the worst case, you'll lose so much money you'll not touch BTC, thereby delaying the inevitable rise of BTC. Best case, doge is a great intro to crypto and onramp to BTC

The power in BTC isn't in market share and price etc, it's mindspace and belief. Imagine the French revolution, or Gandhian Indian freedom struggle - those are built on deep beliefs. Now throw in some court jesters distracting from the goal of separation of money and state.

At best it draws people to understand why Bitcoin serves a purpose and they join us. Worst case, people get rugged en masse. Memes are fun but we're here to get rid of the petrodollar, wars etc. bitcoinmagazine.com/culture/…

Can you pick another example from the past ie anytime in history? Nope, because that's the only case where the current price is lower.

Isn't that exactly the same for Doge? Your point then?

I can't predict the future. Doge may sustain though the deck is stacked against it. That's why I said "worst case". Point is that bitcoin serves a purpose that an inflationary currency can't. It also has developers working constantly (see lightning) and an ecosystem.

Doge also serves a purpose a deflationary currency doesn't. And it also has devs working nonstop.

Deflationary = gains value over time. Inflationary currencies literally lose value over time. Doge devs working non stop 🤡 Bitcoin has more commits in a week than Doge has had in a year. github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin… github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/g…

I don't mean to mock, but comparing BTC to Doge in devs isn't the best comparison 🙂 Won't say any more. I wish you the best with your journey and wish you success! Cya.

Do you really understand what I meant about a forced deflation encouraging holding instead of spending and doge controlled inflation is what makes it a good candidate for a real currency? Or are you just "hur dur, hodl and rise"?

The problem with fiat isn't inflation. It's uncontrolled inflation.
